The vision

Composed of pianist Miles Pretel, guitarists Chris Ihrig and Stephen Ryan, bassist Sam Nesin, and drummer William Penne—is a collaborative force. Together, they write, arrange, and produce music that bridges concepts from the ever expanding genre of neo-soul while maintaining pop's accessibility, blending influences from across the musical spectrum into a unified, cohesive sound.

Their live performances have become a hidden gem in Chicago’s music scene, showcasing everything from stripped-down Sofar shows that highlight the intimacy of their craft to smooth, and groove-infused sets at venues like The Metro, Cobra Lounge, Epiphany Center for the Arts, and Cole’s Bar. Kacie’s voice and The Vison’s undeniable chemistry creates an atmosphere that is both relaxed and electrifying. As described by one supporter, their music delivers "goosebumps" and showcases "progressive soul" with "range for days."

With the release of her latest single "Love" and its accompanying music video, Kacie & her band have demonstrated commitment to expressing their artistry. She wants to keep pushing the boundaries of her sound while staying rooted in her soulful influences. Currently, Kacie Brown & The Vision are deep into the creative process, writing and recording new material for their soon-to-be-announced debut project. As they prepare to extend their reach beyond Chicago, they are dedicated to expanding their artistic vision and making a positive impact on their audiences, all while fostering a sense of community.
